    MENDENHALL – Sophomore Jadan Warren of Magee was the 2008 inductee into Copiah-Lincoln Simpson County Center’s Hall of Fame, the highest honor that can be given a Co-Lin student. Copiah-Lincoln President Dr. Howell C. Garner made the announcement during the college’s second Awards Day program.
    Warren serves as vice president of the Beta Xi Psi Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and the Student Government Association. Warren is also a member of Phi Beta Lambda, Fellowship of Christian Students, and the Chess Club. He was selected to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and a Campus Favorite. He is the recipient of the H. F. McCarty Jr. Endowed Scholarships.

    Warren is the son of Jessie and Jackie Warren of Magee.
    Other awards presented during the program included Allan Dale Turnage of Mize, Outstanding Student Award in English Composition; Krystina Farish of Mendenhall, Outstanding Student Award in Science and Phi Theta Kappa All-Mississippi Award; Kalea Derrick of Raleigh, Outstanding Student Award in English Literature; Cambre Paes of Mendenhall, Outstanding Student Award in Mathematics and Phi Theta Kappa All-Mississippi Award; Whit Ross of Mendenhall, Outstanding Student Award in Speech; Sheila Sullivan of Mize, Outstanding Student Award in World Civilization; Joshua Hall of Mendenhall, Outstanding Student Award in American History; Brandi Henderson of Mendenhall, Outstanding Student Award in Computer Concepts; Joseph Sullivan of Mt. Olive, Outstanding Student Award in Business; Lauren Gatwood of Sumrall, Outstanding Student Award in Business and Office Systems Technology; and Stephen Frye of Mendenhall, Fellowship of Christian Students Award.
Robbie Barnes presented three PriorityOne Bank Scholarships to Michael Peacock and Sabrina Walker, both of Mendenhall, and Shana Floyd of Magee.
    Also recognized were the Scholars Bowl Team of Stephen Frye and Madison Audiffred, both of Mendenhall; James Fuller and Matthew Cockrell, both of Magee; Jessica Jensen of Braxton; and Stephanie Presley of New Hebron. Also recognized were the members of Phi Beta Lambda who captured awards at the state competition. Those students are include Ben Maddox, Kevin White, Jadan Warren and Keenya Dampeer, all of Magee; and Whit Ross of Mendenhall.
Certificates were also presented officers of the Student Government Association: Jadan Warren of Magee, Lacey Meadows and Amber Sullivan, both of Mize; Bradley Holmes and Stephen Frye, both of Mendenhall; and the President’s Council: Jadan Warren, Madison Morgan, Matthew Cockrell, and James Fuller, all of Magee; Stephen Frye of Mendenhall; and Lauren Gatwood of Sumrall.
