SAT analogy: George Clooney is to Danny Ocean, as Mario is to….. well Mario. In the Ocean's Eleven films, George Clooney leads an ensemble cast of Hollywood's biggest and brightest stars for our entertainment. Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii console is no different. The iconic Nintendo character, Mario, heads up the biggest collection of video gaming's most popular characters including Link, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, Sonic, and Solid Snake in one of the most entertaining and engrossing fighting games since the last Smash Bros. |

Nim’s Island PG-13 Grade- C
It's hard to predict how kids will react upon visiting Nim's Island, the latest family flick from the specialty division Fox Walden. This adult -- burdened with being a parent and a professional movie critic (who tries not to be jaded and dismissive) -- found one vital piece of the tale to be ridiculous and the entirety to be only marginally successful. Based on the book by Wendy Orr, it's a grinder about a tyke (Little MissSunshine's Abigail Breslin) and her marine-biologist father (Gerard Butler) who live on an idyllic plot in the South Pacific and are visited by a phobic authoress (Jodie Foster). But a girl's own adventure celebrating self-reliance and displaying a modicum of imagination is rare enough that careful handling is required. |

Millions of television fans have been let down by the recent television strike in some way or another. The obvious casualty was the already poorly paid crew members thrown onto the streets without payment in order to help the writers. Fans of network shows have their shows now returning with new episodes. But viewers of the FX cable channel are left with disappointment when the new seasons for original programming have been shortened from 22 plus episodes to a meager eight or fourteen. |

How did bunnies come to be associated with Easter? What is the proper method for choosing a harlot? How was sarcasm invented? What did the rough draft of the Sermon on the Mount sound like? Ever wonder what happened during the time between the birth and crucifixion of Christ? Chris Moore, a poignant, creative author answers these peculiar, yet normal, queries with a whimsical sense of humor and a surprisingly, seemingly accurate story. Readers will not even notice they are laughing until they hear their own chuckles. Witty banter and hilarious predicaments drip from every page, cover to cover of this boisterously entertaining tale. The national best-selling novel, Lamb, is a lively, sarcastic tale of Christ and his childhood buddy, Biff, making this the greatest story never told.

As most know by now that the spring is Copiah-Lincoln Community College's busiest time of the school year with so much going on. Events such as school trips, Spring Fling, Awards Day, performances, sports, and much more are going on during this time. Though one specific department works extra especially hard during the spring semester. This group would be the Fine Arts including Co-Lin's Concert Choir, Co-Lin's Chamber Choir (Ambassadors), Co-Lin's Show Choir (Sojourners), Co-Lin's Colette's, the Jazz, Symphonic, and Basketball Pep Bands, Indoor Drum-line, Art Department, and the Drama Club. |
